A promising 2024 vintage awaits us!
Successful start to the 2024 grape harvest
We started the 2024 harvest with great anticipation on September 23rd and started with the Solaris grape variety. This was our third earliest harvest ever. Despite a challenging, rainy spring, which led to a slightly smaller harvest, we were rewarded with exceptionally high-quality grapes. The sugar content and physiological maturity of the Solaris grapes are perfect, which means we can expect promising wines.
This was immediately followed by the harvest of Pinotin grapes, which are intended specifically for our popular Fering Foomen. Here too, we are delighted with the quality of the harvest and look forward to further processing.
Another highlight of this year is the harvest of the Souvignier Gris grapes, which began on October 8th. With an impressive must weight of around 82° Oechsle, these grapes have developed an exceptionally intense aroma. Due to this aromatic abundance, we decided to also distill the pomace - an exciting addition to our range.
The 2024 vintage is showing its best side so far, and we can hardly wait to harvest the next grapes. We look forward to the coming weeks with confidence and look forward to presenting you the wines of this special year next spring!
Stay tuned – the 2024 vintage has promising surprises in store for us!
